What I Stand For
Wasaga Beach is growing and changing quickly. The question isn’t whether change is coming - it already is. The important question is how we manage it responsibly while protecting the community we love.
Delivering on Commitments
Residents deserve more than promises. I believe in following through, measuring
results and being accountable for the decisions we make.
Responsible Growth
I support smart growth - not growth simply for the sake of growth. That means building
where infrastructure can support it, protecting environmentally sensitive areas and
creating housing choices for young families, workers and seniors.
Strong Infrastructure
Growth must be supported by roads, water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, parks
and community facilities. We need to plan ahead rather than continually play catch-up.
Healthcare & Well-Being
We’ve made important progress with new doctors, walk-in care and a new 288-bed long-term-care home. We need to keep building on that progress while supporting mental health, recreation, food security and community well-being.
A Strong Local Economy
My professional life has been built around small business, tourism and economic development. I want to continue attracting investment, supporting our existing businesses, creating jobs and strengthening Wasaga Beach as a year-round community.
Protecting What Makes Wasaga Beach Special
Our beach, river, wetlands, natural heritage and neighbourhoods matter. As we grow, we need to think beyond today and consider what our decisions will mean 10, 20 and 30 years from now.
Respectful Leadership
We don’t have to agree to work together. I believe in asking difficult questions, listening to different viewpoints and treating residents, staff and colleagues with respect.
